Last week, Asbestos Roof Solutions, completed the supply and installation of the Fibroseal Asbestos roof Encapsulation system, to the roof of a company in Granville in Sydney.
The roof was previously coated with an asbestos roof encapsulation coating approximately 12 years ago. Some areas of the roof coating had broken down and some of this coating was detached from the roof surface.
Then in December of 2018 the roof was hit by hail and heavy rain and the coating was further damaged. On inspection, asbestos fibres were located on the roof surface and in the roof gutters.

The condition of the roof left the facility managers with a decision to either remove and replace the entire roof or to re-coat the roof with an asbestos roof encapsulation coating.
Asbestos Roof Solutions were chosen to supply and install an encapsulation coating to re-coat the damaged roof surface.
With some minor roof repairs to stop existing leaks into the facility, the cleaning and decontamination of the roof gutters, the encapsulation work proceeded without affecting the internal operations.

Asbestos Roof Solutions were commended on the smoothness of the operation, with no health and safety incidents or operational issues.
